Stats

Well the kids aren't starving, that's for sure! The Doctor's visit on
25 Jan was extremely positive.

Michael at 20 months:
- height: 34.75" / 90th percentile
- weight: 32.4 lbs / 95th percentile
Michael is now starting to grow out of the 2T clothing & embarking on
the 3T! It's no wander given that he is clearly no small fry, but he
is still as loving & cuddly as when he was a tiny tot :-) lucky me!!

Maxine at 7.5 weeks:
- height: 22" / 50th percentile
- weight: 11 lbs 7 oz / 75th percentile
...bearing in mind that Maxine's stats are as compared to full term
babies!!! Not too shabby indeed! When the stats are adjusted for her
being born at 35 weeks well, she is literally off the charts!!!

Immunizations were also done - let's just say Mom is still getting
over it...my goodness, seeing one go through it is bad enough but 2 on
the same day with a total of 6 shots...well I nearly passed out &
honestly struggled to hold back my own tears. Poor Michael had just
had his shots, got over it (milk & iPhone flash card game did the
trick) when his sister screamed blue murder. He was visibly disturbed,
dropped everything & came to her side, looking up at me with such
confusion. Calming them both down was so hard when all I wanted to do
was cry myself. I am so glad it's over...but we do it again in 7 weeks
as we gear up for our trip to South Africa. The good thing is that you
know you are doing the right thing, especially when you consider the
severity & aweful effects of these dreaded & deadly diseases that they
are being protected against.

...and that's our update for this check up. Today all are happy & one
step healthier :-)
